    If you haven't seen this movie then I highly recommend it.  You'll get a wonderful taste of Chinese American acting in the eighties.

  • Power of the tongue

    Sometimes I forget the power of the tongue.  My mother made me
    memorize a TON of verses pertaining to the taming of the tongue and the
    power of words.  Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord, keep watch
    over the door of my lips.  Do not let any unwholesome talk come
    out of your mouths but only what is helpful in building others up
    according to theie needs that it may benefit those who listen. 

    There was a whole page that I had to memorize and recite by memory
    every single day for years.  She made me do this because my words
    were either harmful or beneficial.  Either way, my words were my
    weapon.  I could wield it for good or ill.

    I haven't been blogging because I lost faith in the power of
    words.  I put videos and pictures up because I think that I'm
    growing up in an illiterate society where multi sensory media is the
    only form of effective communication.  But words are still
    powerful.  People still read.   I guess.

    So watch what you say for God will judge every single word that comes from your mouth.

    "Make a tree good and its
    fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a
    tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The

  • The Search

    Anyone read Animorphs?  Remember how all the titles were "The -------" and then had some mysterious all-describing and encompassing word?  Anyways...

    We searched for a place for me to live today.  We'll do that again tomorrow.  I'm going to go to sleep so I can wake up in the day.


    Took a pic on the drive down to SoCal.


    We had lunch at the cafe.  A lady at the table next to us left her laptop on the table and left.  Dad ran after her and chased her car out of the parking lot to tell her she left it.  She was really happy and wanted to pay him.  He said no, "This is what we do."


    This advert was creeping Brandon out.


    Went to Koreatown for din din and saw that little Pochacco trash can!  Remember those!  Ha!  I had a Keroppi one.


    Koreatown had a nice composition.

    They had a cool music/DVD store there with low prices.  Twas insane.  We got the new Crystal Kay CD for $18 plus tax.  Must've been black market prices.

  • That's it!

    Today was my last day here at home. I'm moving out of the house and I guess it's for good. The weirdest feeling is that there is no weird feeling. I'll probably get homesick and sad later on but otherwise I'm pretty excited. God has always taken care of me. I have nothing to complain about. Ever.
