  • Music Video Shoot

Yeah, guy!  So this is part of the reason why I didn't sleep last night.  I had to finish a song, record a rough with Luke and then climbed up the mountain to shoot a music video for my final project for school.  Here are some stills from the shoot.

We're not quite there yet, but still working on the video.  It's due on Thursday.  Yeah.  Someone please buy me a nice video camera like the Canon XLH1 or or a Panasonic AG-HVX200 or a Sony HVR-V1so we can shoot videos like this one.  Please...

  • Random Pictures. Yet again.

You don't understand, man.  I have like over 2,400 from the beginning of this year alone.  So I must share some.  A lot of them are of my baby cousins because they are small intelligent sentient creatures.  With soft flesh, chubby cheeks and round bellies.  I'm going to miss them a lot.

I guess she was trying to eat the cup.

They had to share a cup of orange juice.
Dion wanted the blue straw but his mommy was trying
to preserve the blue straws and give him the orange
one so the colors would be evened out.

Me sitting on a stool drinking some orange flavored beverage in Yea-yea's kitchen.

Um.  The girls were "encouraging" by cheerleading as the other people with consciences tried to do some work.

This is known as "fried rice".

I go to Gung-Gung's house and Auntie Carol always makes me some food.  So I don't eat before I go... wait a second... I don't eat anyways...

Finally we have an old picture.  This is hanging on Gung-gung's wall.  If the picture were better, you could see that there are three subjects who are not matching with the color scheme of the rest.  (It wasn't their fault though, because they didn't buy the clothing.)

  • The Nerdiest Day of My Life

There are some days where you embrace the inner nerd. Maybe you have a tech talk with a fellow nerd. Maybe you dedicate your afternoon to solving the 4x4 Rubik's cube. Maybe it's the day you went to EB to reserver your pre-reserved copy of Pokemon Pearl for DS from the 25 year old guy working there who already reserved his copy.

Today was a day like none other.

We rose early to fly to Las Vegas where the National Association for Broadcasters was holding a huge convention exhibiting the latest in broadcasting and video technology.

Apple released their latest programs. Final Cut Studio 2. Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3 (which now includes 3D), Soundtrack 2 (which now includes a 5.1 surround sound feature that is turbo cool), and a new program with it that's called Color (it works like Da Vinci. It's like photoshop for video complete with a vignette feature that works like power windows. They can correct color is vignetted softened or hard sections that are TRACKABLE!!! Motion tracking!!!!! Where was this technology when we first started?! WHO NEEDS MAGIC BULLET?!?!?!?!?! Pan and scan technology. Oh and motion comes with a new tracking shot stabilization that's really cool.)

We spotted Richard Brown and Josh Cowing just chillin in the corner of a lunch area. They came and joined us for some more camera talk.

    Motion control...

Then Jeff and Kent came to join us for dinner at Quark's Bar and Grill Restaurant. I could not have thought of a more appropriate place for dinner.

After dinner Richard and Josh whipped out some recording system to record their podcast with John Burch as the special guest.

Dinner table talk was all about the new Red camera which shoots 4K and costs $14,000. Richard Brown mentioned Sony just announced it's new XDCAM HD that shoots 24P.

Jeff and Kent were feeling a bit left out so we switched some convo to talking about computers. Jeff works on the Geek Squad.

We piled into the back of Kent's Hyundai and had quite the ride to his house. I never realized just how many cops there are in Las Vegas. There be a lot.

And there is no nerdier time to end our night other than to play and then watch Kent play Free Bird on Guitar Hero 2.

    The End...

of the nerdiest day of my life.

Molto creepy, eh? Eh?! ecks dee

Luke doesn't like the word "creepy" because he says it sounds like something straight out of a Hardy Boys book. I like the word because it sounds weird. Chester chooses chocolate cheery chunky cheddar cheese and chewy chives.

  • Random Pictuuuuuuuuuuuuuuures

It's been a while since I posted any random pictures. I like 'em un-random but sometimes there's just no structure. Here they be:

The lady at Wholefoods was so good to me that day.  She threw in TWO sections of turkey meat for my sandwich munching enjoyment.  Freshly sliced soft and chewy sourdough bread on a turkey sandwich with spinach and extra mayonnaise.  Oh yes.  Martinelli's sparkling apple goodness down below.

Jovina came and baked with Loren for the Easter Bake sale on Sunday.  The mini cupcakes were cool.  Too bad I can't eat them.

Then peoples came to our house and it was an impromptu gathering.  For no reason.  Chubby babies were here and I was kind of tired.

    The End.
